Screening of ASTRA followed by Q&A with Naomi Foyle & Raven Kaliana

ASTRA by Naomi Foyle & Raven Kaliana is a new multimedia production, which won the ONCA Green Curtain Award and premiered in 2022 at Brighton Fringe.

The film screening of ASTRA is suitable for ages 16+. Includes BSLI + Captions; Audio Description available online. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., film (70 mins) starts sharp at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments provided.

ASTRA is an adaptation of eco-SF novels The Gaia Chronicles by Naomi Foyle, designed and directed by Raven Kaliana. The story depicts a post-fossil fuel society struggling toward social justice and balance with the Earth. Themes include racism, disability rights, child abuse and climate crisis. The after-show discussion offers an opportunity for audience members affected by these issues to speak out and connect with others who share your concerns, including local groups working to solve problems.
