Eerie Shorts with One Bum Cinema Club

Come and see some EERIE SHORTS at Jubilee Library this eerie season! Free and suitable for all ages, One Bum Cinema Club is possibly the smallest cinema in the world! Drop by, take a seat and press the button – randomly generated short animations will appear, to surprise and delight you! Our short films are contributed by film programming partners based in the region and present diverse makers and narratives.

24 October – 6 November during Library opening times.

One Bum Cinema Club is the brainchild of artist Anna Vartiainen and brought to life by Paulie Musselwhite and Matthew Simkins. It began in an under stairs cupboard and is now on the road. Their little cinema aims to make you leave with a nice fuzzy feeling inside: the only rule is one butt at a time!  So, take your seat and enjoy a selection of hand picked animations from artists based around the world.

October-December 2022

A series of spine-tingling film screenings, performances and talks taking place at venues across Brighton & Hove and Lewes. We’re celebrating the weird and wonderful world of horror in film through a combination of feature screenings in unusual venues and drop-in animated shorts for all ages. We’ll also be spotlighting music made for horror through talks, live performances as well as featuring The Missing Horrors at events, a sound-work of specially commissioned reggae, electronics and spoken word: all themed around 29 horror films missing from the vaults.

FabricaThe Old Market, DepotJubilee Library and ACCA will all have some eerie delights to share with wide audiences, with selected events presented by Cinecity 2022, the 20th edition of the Brighton Film Festival.

Facilitated by Fabrica on behalf of Screen Shot.
