Brighton: Symphony of a City + Q&A
Inspired by the films of the silent era, this cinematic portrait of Brighton captures a day in the life of the city in all its idiosyncratic glory. Interspersed with archive footage and set to a vibrant score, it brings together everyday activities and night-time celebrations to create a unique dawn-to-dusk portrayal of Brighton.
Film-maker Lizzie Thynne and composer Ed Hughes, both from the University of Sussex, will introduce this special screening and will answer questions at the end.
This screening is made possible by BFI’s Film Audience Network, with the support of The National Lottery.
